One of the most common questions I have asked when booking a wedding is what is a bridal session and why should I do it?
Originally bridal sessions stemmed from Europe and slowly made it's way to the deep south. A tradition that was a rite of passage for many brides these sessions are now gaining in popularity throughout the wedding industry. So why should you choose to one of these sessions?
1. Putting it all together - You've picked out the dress, you've got the shoes, an idea on hair and makeup and your bouquet. Bridal sessions give you an opportunity prior to your wedding day to make sure everything is perfect for your special day. You will get to see exactly how you will look on your wedding day and make any necessary adjustments rather than dealing with an obstacle the day of your wedding.
2. Getting to know you - Your bridal session will allow you and me to learn what techniques and poses work best for you. We will be able to spend 1-2 hours in a relaxed environment. We will already have the experience with working with one another rather than try to become comfortable with each other without adding on any stress on your already emotional wedding day.
3. Where the road leads you - Bridal portraits can be taken anywhere! We can trek up to the top of a mountain, dip our toes in the sand on our local beaches, wherever that special place is that your love to be is where we can do your session. These are artistic photos that are editorial in nature and that allow you and I to be creative and enjoy our beautiful landscapes of the Oregon Coast.
*disclaimer - to help protect your dress we can bring a white sheet to place underneath to keep your dress from getting muddy or too dirty.
4. Keepsakes - You will receive your photos from the session prior to your wedding date. What a wonderful gift and memento to give your grandparents or parents a lovely keepsake or framed print that will give them so much joy for generations to come.
*any prints displayed at the wedding must be purchased through Laurie Jean Photography
Special thanks to the amazing Sunflower Flats here in Tillamook for once again knowing my vision for florals better than I had ever imagined. Seriously...amazing!
